By default, M1 will record calls to help you keep track of conversations. But you can disable this for individual contacts.
This is helpful when you use M1 for both professional and personal calls, a contact has asked not to be recorded, or you don’t need transcripts and summaries for certain conversations.
🔧 To turn off call recording for a contact:
1. Open the conversation with that contact in the M1 app
2. Tap the Receptionist icon next to the message composer
3. Toggle off Call recording
That contact's calls with you will no longer be recorded. However, if the AI Receptionist handles the call instead of you, a transcript may still be generated.
