All M1 subscriptions are processed through the App Store, so any refund requests must go directly through Apple.
⚠️ M1 cannot issue refunds or cancel subscriptions on your behalf. Apple manages all payments and subscriptions via your Apple ID.
Step 1: Cancel your M1 subscription
To prevent future charges, start by cancelling your subscription:
Open the Apple Support page: Cancel Subscription
Follow the steps based on your device (iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc.)
ℹ️ You'll continue to have access to M1 until the end of your billing period.
Step 2: Request a refund from Apple
Once canceled, you can request a refund through Apple’s refund portal:
Go to Request a Refund
Sign in using the Apple ID used for your M1 subscription
Locate the M1 purchase
Select Request a Refund and choose a reason
Submit your request
ℹ️ Apple usually reviews refund requests within 48 hours and will notify you by email.
Additional tips
Call forwarding: If you had call forwarding enabled, don’t forget to turn it off in your phone settings. Otherwise, calls may continue to be routed to M1 even after your subscription ends. Here's how.
Payment method no longer active? Apple will refund to your Apple ID balance, which you can use on future App Store purchases.
Duplicate subscriptions or charges: Be sure to highlight this in your refund request to help Apple review your case accurately.
